How long does Zestie POS setup take?
20 minutes for basic setup: create account, add restaurant details, upload menu items, generate QR codes. Full configuration (inventory, loyalty, staff accounts) takes 1-2 hours.
Do I need any hardware to use Zestie?
Minimum: one tablet or phone for the POS interface. Optional: kitchen display tablet (₹8,000-15,000), receipt printer (₹3,000-8,000), card payment terminal. Many restaurants start with just a phone.
Is there a free trial?
No trial — Zestie has a permanent free tier. Use core features indefinitely without payment. Upgrade to premium when you need advanced features.
Can I import my existing menu?
Yes. Upload menu via CSV or spreadsheet. Zestie formats and imports. Takes 15-30 minutes depending on menu size.

What does Zestie cost?
Free for growing restaurants and cafes. All core features included with no time limit. Premium plan adds advanced CRM, win-back campaigns, multi-outlet, and dedicated support — contact us to learn more.
Are there transaction fees?
No transaction fees on own-channel orders (QR menu, direct ordering). Standard payment gateway fees apply for card/UPI processing (typically 1.5-2% charged by the payment gateway, not Zestie).
What's included in the free tier?
Free includes: QR menu, table management, kitchen display, basic loyalty, basic inventory, daily reports, UPI/card/cash payments, WhatsApp support. No time limit.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contracts. Cancel premium subscription anytime. Revert to free tier. Your data is preserved.

Does Zestie work offline?
Partially. QR ordering requires internet (customer's phone). Kitchen display and POS work offline — orders queue locally and sync when connection restores. Designed connectivity.
Can I manage multiple restaurant locations?
Yes, on premium plan. Unified dashboard shows all outlets. Shared loyalty program across locations. Separate inventory per outlet. Reports by location and combined.
Does Zestie support multiple payment methods?
Yes: UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM), Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, Amex), Net banking, Cash. GST-compliant receipts for all methods.
Can customers order without downloading an app?
Yes. QR ordering opens in phone browser — no app download, no account creation. Works on any smartphone with 4G or WiFi.
Does Zestie have a kitchen display system?
Yes. Orders appear on KDS tablet/screen instantly. Kitchen staff mark orders complete. No paper tickets. Works on any Android tablet.
Loyalty & CRM
How does the loyalty program work?
Points-based: customers earn points per rupee spent via QR ordering. Redeem points for free items or discounts. QR-based enrollment — no physical card. WhatsApp notifications for points earned and redeemable balance.
Can I send WhatsApp promotions to customers?
Yes, on premium plan. Segment customers (last visit, spend tier, loyalty status) and send WhatsApp campaigns. Win-back: customers inactive 45+ days. Occasion: birthdays and anniversaries. Promotional: slow day offers.
How does Zestie capture customer data?
Customers provide phone number during loyalty enrollment (voluntary). Each QR order can optionally capture contact. Data stored securely and used only for your restaurant's communications.
Support
How do I get support?
WhatsApp support during IST business hours (9am-7pm Mon-Sat). Response within 1 hour typically. Premium customers get dedicated account manager with faster response.
Is there onboarding help?
Yes. Free onboarding WhatsApp call (30 min) for all new accounts. Walk through setup, configure first menu, test first QR order. Premium: 2-hour dedicated onboarding session.
What if I have a technical issue during service?
Emergency WhatsApp support for active service issues. Response target: 15 minutes. Kitchen display has offline mode — orders won't be lost even if internet drops.
